The Voice
Hardeep Singh Brar
Hardeep Singh Brar
President and CEO, BMW Group India.
Three decades and six companies. Seventeen years at Maruti Suzuki, then Volkswagen, General Motors and Nissan, where he sat on the board. As Country Head he took Kia India to 1.5 million cars in five years and was named Kia’s best country head in the world. In 2026 BMW passed Mercedes to lead luxury in India for the first time in thirteen years.
He was born in Moga. He is rebuilding the village he came from, Patto Hira Singh, house by house. He has finished ninety-five marathons.
Every one of those was a call he made himself.
The Conversation
Moga to Munich.
The calls Hardeep made alone.
A village in Punjab to the Indian arm of a Munich company. Six companies in thirty years, and every move looked like a risk from outside and a decision from inside.
An hour on the calls that are not in any bio. When to leave something that is working. What it costs to be the one who decides. And what a village in Punjab has to do with running a car company.
In conversation, not on a stage.
What This Is
A morning among people who run things.
The Renous Biome is a private peer community for India’s C-Suite. Members meet every month in small, fixed groups — closed, candid, and built slowly on trust.
The Gathering is the other half of that year. Once a month the circle widens: members bring guests, a good voice takes the floor, and the morning ends over breakfast.
If someone sent you this, they thought you would enjoy the company.
The Room
Who you will be spending the morning with.
The people
CXOs, founders, investors and senior leaders who run real businesses, and who talk like peers rather than titles.
The size
Small enough to have a proper conversation, rather than collect a pocket of cards.
The understanding
Nothing said in the room travels, and nobody is selling anything. That is what makes it relaxed.
The Morning
How the morning runs.
8:15 am  ·  Arrival
Coffee, and an unhurried start. Members introduce the guests they have brought.
8:29 am  ·  The conversation begins
Hardeep Singh Brar, in conversation. No stage and no deck.
9:00 am  ·  The open floor
Questions from the room, and the discussion that follows them.
9:25 am  ·  Vote of thanks
Short, and then the room moves next door.
9:30 am  ·  Breakfast
The most unhurried part of the morning, and the one most people stay for.
Coming Along
An invitation comes from a member.
There is no registration link and no guest list to join. Every guest comes as someone’s guest — a TRBian extends the invitation, and that is the whole process.
If you know a TRBian, a word with them is all it takes.
And if you would rather be the one doing the inviting, membership opens by conversation rather than an application form.
We would be glad to have you there.
19 September, The Leela, Gurugram. Ask the TRBian who sent you this — or, if you would rather have a seat of your own, start a conversation with us.
